I don't eat bananas. I think they're absolutely revolting; their texture, their smell, and their general appearance make me want to gag. Although I think bananas are disgusting, I'm a huge freaking fan of banana bread. I don't understand why, but I am. When my mom had some overly ripe bananas on her counter last week and casually mentioned she was about to throw them away, I knew I couldn't let them go to waste. I ended up spending all day in the kitchen making banana bread, then Christmas cookies, then a spaghetti dinner, because you know... That's how I roll.
Brown Butter Banana Bread
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees Farenheit. Grease a 9"x5" loaf pan and set aside. -In a large bowl, whisk together dry ingredients; in a medium bowl whisk together wet ingredients. -Pour all of wet mixture into the dry ingredients bowl. With a spatula, fold together until there are no pockets of flour remaining. -Spread in loaf pan and bake for 60 to 70 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean and the top of the banana bread is golden in color. Let cool completely.
